Edcel.net – mind games

Was busy covering a football event at work. It was nice to participate in something that shows your value for the effort you’ve done. I still have to work on my sports shots — not sure if it’s because of the lens or so. But the experience was good.

I was almost hit by a ball. I was near the goalee and some rufus was going on with a couple of players over the object. One kick and it came flying towards me but had a higher elevation so it went above my head. Lucky me. But I’d rather it be me than my camera. So much for capturing the moment, birds would be circling around, worse comes to worst.

I’m getting addicted to plurk which has been another way for you to give updates in small phrases on what you’re doing or what you’d like to share. So far, I’m liking the fact that I’m able to change layouts and such which also showcase my personality.

Here’s one that I made while I was browsing through recent pictures during our day tour at the Imperial Palace in Mactan, Cebu.

With so many people walking, how can one leave a lasting print?
The sand can just wash it away, how do you make it permanent?

Sometime last year, when I went to Siargao, I had a picture shot with my lower body and the sand as if I were walking away. There’s something about not looking in front of the camera and just turning back and walking away that makes me want to get that good shot. I have here my friend Doi to thank for this picture. This was taken in one of the Caramoan islands in CamSur.

Walking away, is it the solution?
Do we have to turn our backs to get that sweet escape?
