How to (inappropriately) select your godparents

Posted by edcel in blog, pictures, work.

Sunday became my second time to be a godparent. I attended a seminar ( a long one) to be educated on the responsibilities of being a second father to my colleague/next-door housemate’s son who’s just 3 months old.

family

the family.

It was a mass christening and when I saw the other babies who were waiting in line, I couldn’t help but compare ourselves to them — I’m talking about the parents and other relatives. They were all well-behaved and prim while we were too unruly. If a priest came up to us, he would surely scold us for being too noisy a bunch.

Watcha looking at?

It makes me wonder if it’s because of the lifestyle of the business process outsourcing industry; working in a call center makes you more flamboyant (haha — so gay a term to use) showy and loud. Liberated minds unite and non-liberated ones get corrupted. I don’t even know which profession is more indecent aside from the indecent ones, of course.

godparents

I wonder how baby Luke will be when he grows up with his godparents – me included.

It makes you wonder what sense the mother had to get these rowdy colleagues/friends as godparents. But somehow, she was able to find some good use for us aside from giving baby Luke new gadgets for Christmas.

Check the blog of an unconventional mother, trying to make ends meet while dishing out funny anecdotes here and there at blueandgraymilk.blogspot.com. You can read through the reasons (sane ones) on what baby Luke can get from us.

Good luck with this blog Ched, this time, let it last longer than 6 months. While you’re at it, you can check out Phlegmy’s blog at angdabawenyangukuk.blogspot.com.

It was a good day albeit a tiring one. I got to practice and play with my DLSR again; but the blurry shots are still there.

Been 5 days and things are good. I hope those pesky morons stop harassing this site. I feel bad for them that they can’t even construct a good sentence in English.
Will be blogging more about what’s been happening once I get to sort out my priorities this week. It’s been terribly busy.

pretending as if nothing happened

Yes, I go about my routine disregarding how many curses flew into this site just for the sake of having effin’ R-tards from a people who look as dumb as they speak test how vulnerable this blog is. I’m still waiting for a couple of hours before edcel.net gets hacked again; maybe tonight.

It’s a good thing I backed this up before anybody could make any major damage. I just pretend that it’s all good.

Now here’s another random shot.

can’t log in

Now I’m having issues with this site. #*)#$#&(@)(*

I can’t seem to log in and I didn’t set up a new password or email. I am looking for a better option aside from resetting everything or installing the Wordpress platform again. This is another one of those unnecessary headaches that crop up when you least expected it. Sheesh.

I’ll fix this later as I’m pressed, way pressed with time.

the week is over

and I need to get back to work. It was fun while it lasted, or should I just be creating this entry tomorrow? I’m still in Dumaguete, still working. The food places and the hang outs have been really fun; I’ve never partied gone out like this even in Cebu. Dumaguete has always been a slow-paced environment, that one tiny bubble where you can just chill with your shorts and slippers, even in bars. It’s a traveler’s haven, the food is cheap and everything can just be traveled by foot.

I’ll be back to a much faster environment by Monday, good luck with all the pictures I need to take. I just wish I can go full-time in blogging. Maybe soon.

Ah, that’s it; always keep a thick face regardless of people passing by.

Obama uses social media

President Barrack Obama was wise when he utilized social media in order for him to market his value over the web. We can definitely say that the internet is a powerful form of media and you don’t have to pay a lot in order to spread information like wildfire.

When you realize that there a number of die-hard fans that put up weblogs and sites dedicated for their favorite hero, actor, celebrity and such, it doesn’t limit itself to entertainment alone. Obama used the web using viral videos and other marketing strategies which is effective and cost-efficient.

Obamanomics – the study of Obama’s use of social media during the 2008 Election is definitely one of the great examples on how it can influence and reach out to a number of people without much effort. I must say that data is easily accessed and you can understand the person better when you research his credentials. Fortunately for the current President, it had worked wonders. The Obama campaign changed the Internet landscape. It gave a real use to bloggers and supporters everywhere.

I know I need to brush up on my Social Media skills in order to stay current as anything can change in a limited amount of time.
