Edcel.net – mind games

Still working on some things, but it’s nice to take a break and hit the beach. Was able to try bringing my laptop with me in Malapascua. But I needed to have my own internet connection. I’ll probably subscribe to Smartbro’s Unlimited Plug It plan. Hopefully, it will really be a good travel companion whenever I go out of town so I can carry my work with me.

The life of a digital nomad isn’t as far-fetched as it seems when I was still starting out. Somehow, opportunities have become plenty and I am on my way to grab one of them. I’m expecting something drastic to happen after the year ends. But I don’t think it will come off as a total shocker to anyone at all. It’s a big leap but I’m willing to take the risk.

I just need to hasten the process of ironing out priorities to have a smoother transition.

Yeah, I feel like it’s still summer. Although I’m a beach-freak, I’m not really keen on spending too much as I’m tight on a budget.
Anyway, freebies are always welcome.
It’s December and I can feel the cold air which is really great for nights of sleep –> no need more me to buy an AC.
I’ll be making a series of big decisions soon and I’m taking the time to spend the remaining days with good friends.

My feet are happy when I’m at the beach. I don’t give them enough attention and they actually are cleaned when I take a dip in the water. hehe.

I’m going back to the beach this Sunday. I’ll try to skim again. I’m going to bring my brother too. Hopefully, we can bond.

Sumilon Island

Went to Sumilon for a free trip to and checked out what the island could offer. It was nice because there were many activities and we took  the liberty to try out a number of things. The Sumilon Island escapade was really great because it was FREE! haha. I’m a cheapskate at heart and when situations like these arise, I do my best to join in.

Even if the weather wasn’t good, we still had fun.

Just got back from a trip, and I got in FREE!  I didn’t have to shell out anything for that event. Was so glad to get that much-needed break from stress at work. I needed to be with the waves and the sand, minus the sun. Although the weather didn’t cooperate, I’m just glad that somehow, the waves did.

There’s something about being at the beach that makes me remember good old days of being carefree. Like a child leaving all worries behind, leaving all problems for grown-ups to bother; keeping things light and breezy, as if everyday were summer. All the time when looking at this picture, I hear Sting’s Fields of Gold playing at the background.

Wouldn’t it be nice to escape and go to the beach for awhile and let the sun take over the situation? I can sleep in the sand and use it as my blanket while I stare at the sun.
