Panorama

I’m having fun taking panoramic shots these days and I’m happy with the turnaround of events. I hope to place them one day in a good album without ever thinking about the width of the monitor. It’s a bit difficult to get good panoramas especially without a tripod to use. But I’ll get by once I have a good and steady platform to place the camera on.

Loving HKIA

Let me just say that I love HKIA!
The Hong Kong International Airport is one of the airports that I really love spending more time just lounging around. For one, it’s huge – they have a train inside the airport so you can proceed from one terminal to another! Beats any buses around.

Postponed Flight

I’ll be postponing a flight with a ticket that was already purchased. I figured I should at least save first and pay all my pending balances first before I book another flight or head to another destination beyond this city.

Walk

Taking a walk, taking a break. I like it better when I have more time to chill even when I’m out there exploring. Maybe I’ve grown tired of looking for the same places that people visit. Or maybe I just don’t really mind if I can’t follow an itinerary. Still, I’m happy that other people are able to plan the schedule for me.

cutting the chase

Everything’s a bit blurry nowadays. Chances are passing by so fast that I’m lost on where I should head to next. I hope something better comes out of this wait. I can’t seem to stand in line anymore. I know I should cut the chase and get on with it but I need to have more patience so I can be rewarded (assuming) by my efforts.

quick respite

I need to head to a beach, fast. Things are more of a blur the past few days and it seems like I haven’t found worth in what I do. I’ll be working on this most likely over the weekend. I don’t think I’ll even attend an event I’m supposed to join. We’ll see. If something crazy will happen, or any wild ideas will come to mind, I’ll take it.

break is over but

My week-long break is over but I still have another trip coming up. I’m still figuring out how I’ll manage my time. If I will push through with the other destination or I’ll just stay put and get back to work. It would be more expensive but at least I can travel solo. I don’t have an itinerary and it’ll be a come-what-may situation. I still haven’t made up my mind…

goofing off at Radisson Blu Cebu

Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu

A new hotel just opened in Cebu. We took advantage of promotion rate going on and checked in.

Will be blogging more about this in my travel blog at soloflightEd.com. For now, here’s a picture of a couple of dodos who have nothing better to do but are too excited to check out the new hotel.

wired

I rely on technology to keep me posted.
Music, movies, pictures, boob tube, games.
Don’t even get me started with blog and freelance work.
I wonder what other forms of entertainment are available.
My attention is cut short.
I close it out but I come back for more.
Technology has its ups and downs.
I question how long it will it be before it takes over me.
Has it not already?
Wired.
When my attention is supposed to be somewhere else, I keep craving for it.

wasted

Life in a trance, you can’t help but dance.
You want to let loose and let go. Be inspired and stop saying No.

lost and looking for directions

One good tip a friend back in high school said about traveling and going to places is that you don’t have to worry about getting lost. So long as you know how to READ, then you’ll be able to reach your destination in one piece. That’s only good if the you read the same language. But of course, I didn’t take her word in a literal sense. It was a wake-up call for me when I asked her if she was ever afraid to go out on her own. She gave me that answer which came out as a challenge for me to always look and read signs. What I mostly do is ask for help from people around; it gets most of the task of looking for the place faster. But then there’s always the risk of getting information that is unreliable and you have to contend with starting over from where you last left off.

green trees

Green trees in Bohol; I’ll go back to this area. There’s something about it that calms me and soothes my senses.

You want to resort into poetry underneath the green canopy. Leaves envelop you and you are shaded from life’s uncertainty.
These trees; they bear shade and cover you from light. Amidst darkness, they keep you safe and nestled.

the need to travel

I feel that I need to travel in order to stay sane and keep my head afloat. This is a therapeutic activity for me which actually serves as my addiction to keep me from going bonkers. Bohol has already been started and I’ll be flying off to foreign ground next week. I don’t know if I will be able to keep up with the momentum but I won’t give up without a fight.

bald and stripped

Had a conversation with an old acquaintance. I realize that I miss our conversations that led to life and questions. It was a quick encounter due to my work and hers but it got me thinking a lot.

beach-hungry

I want to go to a beach again. I just went somewhere last month but I feel that there’s a need for me to get out of town and unwind. Maybe because of the moving and transferring to a new house has stressed me out. I still have a lot of tasks on my list but I’m taking them one day at a time. I’m actually a lot saner now compared to 6 months ago.
