I never expected it to be like this.
I never did. Well, maybe I doubted it; I even became jealous cause I thought of her becoming far within my reach because of you. You sure did put up a good play; knowing that facts seems stranger, I don’t even know how to react. I’m still in a state of shock, it’s like a punch in the face that I still can’t feel. A bittersweet reality that hasn’t sunk in. Am I that naive?
I feel sick and tired with the current workload that I’m handling. I never expected that I’d handle this much given with my current position. Sometimes, I feel that I’m eating my own words that I wanted growth on why I left my comfortable work environment before. But I know that it’s the system that I hate very much; there seems to be no clear system.
My former boss who’s left the company for more career opportunities contacted me one evening cause she wanted to talk. If my assumptions serve me right, then I’ll be offered another path to further enhance my work experience albeit the lack of prestige and more importantly, stability.
I’ve alway’s wanted to be different. To be a genius, to stand out, or just be able to do something big. But I’m not famous nor do I really have the knowledge. I’m just average, but I know I can do more.

I wrote this message to one of leading national newspapers in the country in there PeopleAtWork section. I felt very happy that it got published albeit some minor alterations and cuts to make the story short so it wouldn’t fill up much column space.

I hate it when old people would still fight over small things. Well, I consider it small cause they’re not adolescents anymore. If you plan on not living together, so be it.
I’m taking advantage of the legal holiday. We don’t have to work on a holiday because we’re not part of operations. However, the opportunity came up where we could work on this day. I’m not too fond of working now because I’d usually sleep during my shift but I couldn’t let this chance pass because I’d be getting at least double the pay since we’re working on a holiday.
I have muscle pains since yesterday because of the sudden work out I had two days ago. My shoulders are still numb and aching. Anyway, I’m too weak to even think about going to the gym. hehe. Well this will only be for the first few days. Once I work out on a regular basis, then I’ll be done.
I thought my leave last Friday was approved, it turned out that I didn’t file for one at all. I was a bit embarrassed when my supervisor talked to me about it. She wasn’t mad, nor upset; she just shrugged it off and informed me that I could just exchange it for a sick leave. I’m glad that she understood that I had not attentions of going AWOL or ditch my job just for a temporary respite.
I’m being stood up again. I can’t believe why I even opened up to you; well, I know. He told me that I hurt you and I wanted to find out why. Of course, when I asked you, you explained everything.
I’m fairly happy that everything is starting to be fine with regard to this blogging venture. I like the fact that I’m able to express my thoughts with what’s going on with my life on a more personal level. I mean, I do have a blog that was initially my main blog, and edcel.net has just been here to post things that I usually don’t say a lot. However, I seem to update this site more often than not.
Sleeping on a wake.
Two times, it’s been two times since I went to a wake of a friend’s beloved but I slept. Ah, the irony.
The bigger problem is that it’s the same person that had a wake that I visited. The first one was because I really lacked sleep at the time and it actually is the same for the second time around.
My aunt and uncle visited us for awhile. We had the usual chitchat happened on what’s going on with our lives by giving some quick updates over dinner. The topic would revolve around family and business. With that in line, it makes me wonder what I have accomplished in life already. I’m 21 years old, yet I feel that I haven’t achieved much.
I practically live in the office. Look at me, it’s a Sunday and it’s supposed to be my day off but I’m 
doing Overtime work. Did I mention that I also did overtime work yesterday which is also my day off? Also, I plan to do Overtime again tomorrow which is already the start of the workweek. I don’t know what’s going on with me, do I love my job so much? Nah, I just need the money. I plan to spend it by buying things that I’ve wanted as well as paying off debt. I owe a lot to a number of people and to a lending company that it seems I need to do everything I can just to double the income I’m getting. Thankfully, OT is needed and I’m there to take advantage of it. This is what I’ve been dreaming of ever since I started working; that is to get paid with the amount of work that you do.
